A supportive housing organization in Luton is seeking a Support Coach to assist young asylum seekers in their journey towards independence. You will be responsible for delivering day-to-day support, conducting assessments, and managing individual case loads. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team to provide a safe and supportive environment for residents.
22 hours ideally across 5 days (minimum 3 days a week).
Supported Housing is a vital part of Squared Homes’ service delivery. We provide tailored support to Luton residents living in our temporary and shared accommodation. Adopting a person-centred coaching approach, we aim to inspire and empower customers to help themselves in a secure, safe and stable environment. With the appropriate support, we work towards customers achieving their own best potential and enabling a smooth transition into successful independence in the community.
Our supported accommodation provision for young asylum seekers is a commissioned provision supporting young people referred by the LBC placement team and in need of tailored specialist support.
Supported Housing is a crucial part of the business. As a Support Coach in our commissioned supported accommodation provision for young asylum seekers, you will be the primary support for the customers, working in a team with other Support Coaches to deliver the best possible outcomes; utilising psychologically informed ways of working to provide a service which is flexible and adaptive to the changing needs of both customers and the team. You will be part of a small team working collaboratively to provide intense therapeutic support.
You will work alongside other Support Coaches, the Team Leader and Services Manager to promote and ensure a psychologically informed way of working by all, to provide a service which is flexible and adaptive to the changing needs of customers and the team.
You will work with the team collaboratively to provide consistent boundaries and a trauma informed approach to practical honest support, good housing management and strong financial control; working closely with our independent living Housing Services Team you will ensure the seamless provision of a complete housing and support solution to our customers throughout their personal journey with Squared.
Working as a team, with Luton community support groups, LBC, partner agencies and our internal organisational expertise, you will aim to provide a safe environment in which to build a customer’s confidence and promote opportunities for positive change and development.
