What you'll do

As a Host at Vesper Bar, you will be the elegant first impression and lasting farewell for every guest who visits our iconic bar. Your role is central to the atmosphere and flow of service, ensuring each guest feels warmly welcomed and expertly looked after. In this role, you will:

Manage reservations and table allocations throughout your shift, balancing guest preferences and business needs with grace and efficiency.

Meet and greet guests with a warm, polished welcome, escorting them to their tables and ensuring their initial experience sets the tone for exceptional service.

Offer a fond farewell upon departure, creating a lasting impression and encouraging return visits.

Liaise with guests about dietary requirements, food and drink preferences, and special occasions, ensuring all needs are communicated and fulfilled with care.

Act as the vital link between the floor team, kitchen, and other hotel departments, helping to coordinate guest experiences and uphold our seamless five-star service.

As the face of Vesper Bar, you will help bring the bar’s character to life, ensuring guests enjoy not only remarkable drinks and service but also an environment that is engaging, elegant, and memorable.

What you'll bring

Essential Skills and Experience

A confident, welcoming demeanour and genuine passion for guest interaction.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage dynamic seating arrangements in a high-end environment.

Strong verbal communication skills, with a courteous and professional manner.

Ability to remain composed under pressure and handle guest feedback with empathy and poise.

Fluent in English, both spoken and written, to engage confidently with guests and colleagues alike.

Preferred Skills


  • Previous experience in a host or guest-facing role within a luxury bar, fine dining restaurant, or five-star hotel.




  • Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., SevenRooms, OpenTable, ResDiary).




  • Strong awareness of hospitality etiquette, including greeting protocols and service pacing.




  • A flair for remembering returning guests, celebrating special occasions, and curating personalised experiences.
