SHIFT PATTERN (30 hours, 3 days per week Thur - Sat )

Based at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair our soon to open live music lounge will set the new standard for the city, a space defined by music. As a Host you will be apart of a team where every detail will be designed with grace, elegance and electricity. You will work in an environment where discretion meets vibrancy, and guests will feel transformed by the power in each note. We are looking for someone who is ready to step into the next era of London nightlife. An individual with a natural elegance, a warm command of hospitality, and a deep understanding of what it means to welcome with intention, especially in a discreet and elevated setting.

As a Host at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, you will be responsible for:

  • Uphold and embody our brand philosophy and service culture, consistently delivering Legendary Quality Experiences to every guest.
  • Devise and manage the nightly table plan with precision, ensuring a seamless flow that enhances both the guest journey and service rhythm.
  • Welcome, escort, and seat guests with charm, discretion, and professionalism — setting the tone for an unforgettable experience.
  • Confidently manage cloakroom etiquette and guest check-in/check-out procedures with a refined attention to detail and guest comfort.
  • Handle all telephone and reservation enquiries with professionalism and warmth, using SevenRooms to manage advanced bookings and guest profiles with accuracy.
  • Ensure all VIPs and special requests are handled with thoughtful care, discretion, and efficiency — anticipating needs before they are expressed.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed pre-service briefings, ensuring the wider team is informed of key reservations, VIPs, and service nuances.
  • Collaborate closely with the floor and management teams to maintain a calm, coordinated front-of-house operation during high-volume or high-profile evenings.

As a Host,you will be working on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 30 hours a week.
