Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks, hot drinks and refreshments in communal café and dining areas
  • Keep café, kitchen and dining areas clean, tidy and ready for customers throughout the day
  • Serve meals, snacks and hot drinks to customers, providing a friendly and welcoming service
  • Build genuine, positive relationships with residents, visitors, families and colleagues
  • Provide a warm and friendly welcome, helping people feel comfortable and included
  • Use mealtimes as an opportunity to create a welcoming and sociable environment
  • Maintain clean, comfortable and welcoming communal spaces that encourage residents to spend time together
  • Be approachable and responsive to needs and concerns
  • Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety and lone-working procedures
  • Assist with washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment, worktops and food preparation areas
  • Help clear tables and dining areas promptly, ensuring spaces are clean and comfortable.

As part of the role you'll help create a warm, welcoming and connected environment where residents feel comfortable, listened to and part of their community. Whether you’re sharing a conversation over a cup of tea, helping someone enjoy their lunch


Key Responsibilities


  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks, hot drinks and refreshments in communal café and dining areas

  • Previous experience in housing, care, hospitality, catering, customer service, community work is welcomed but not essential.
