Luxury Retail Manager - Flagship store - Spirits

Location – Central London

Salary – Competitive Salary with Discretionary bonus.

The Advocate Group are partnered with a prestigious brand in the luxury Premium spirits sector on the search for a retail manager to oversee the operations of their London flagship store ensuring business objectives and customer expectations are consistently exceeded.

We are looking for an individual who possesses a strong commercial understanding and a proven track record in luxury hospitality, ideally with existing high-level relationships within the industry. This individual will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing a dynamic team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience, all while maintaining the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the flagship store, ensuring a seamless and luxurious experience for every customer.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive store performance, sales growth, and profitability.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals, key stakeholders, and industry contacts to enhance business opportunities.
  • Manage a team of retail professionals, ensuring ongoing training, development, and motivation to deliver exceptional service and sales results.
  • Maintain high standards of store presentation, merchandising, and stock management, ensuring the store reflects the brand’s luxury positioning.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and retention of store staff, ensuring alignment with brand values and performance expectations.
  • Analyse sales data and customer insights to inform decision-making and improve the store’s overall performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a management role within the luxury hospitality sector, preferably partnering with premium or high-end brands.
  • Strong commercial acumen commercial character– ability to sell / upsell customers, and sound understanding of the commercial objectives of TWS (margins, brand partnerships).
  • Credible and comfortable dealing with suppliers and brands during visits and events.
  • A demonstrated ability to develop and nurture relationships with high-net-worth individuals and key industry figures.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication skills and experienced at building relationships with customers / private clients.
  • Established network already in London, ideally with an address book of potential customers.
  • Ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A proactive, results-oriented approach with a commitment to achieving targets and maintaining high standards.
