Job description

Our client, one of the UK's largest and most progressive Leisure Centre operators, is currently seeking a F&B Team Leader to join their flagship site in St Albans.

Main Objective:

To ensure that F&B services meet the requirements of the organization and customers, with all resources deployed in an efficient, cost-effective, and safe manner. Ensuring all policies and procedures are followed, monitored, and recorded.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the catering team and facilities daily to maintain no more than 10 customer complaints per month and ensure greeting and meet & greet of customers within 30 seconds of entry.
  • Train, develop, and monitor team members. Promote food & beverage offerings through upselling and minimize waiting times to under 5 minutes.
  • Operate a till within departmental procedures.
  • Create and manage rotas aligned with the budget.
  • Oversee the F&B operation across all areas of the leisure centre, including café, restaurant, hospitality, kitchen, stores, back-of-house, bars, and the EQMS.
  • Ensure equipment used in F&B is maintained, stored, cleaned, and meets company standards. Check in and re-check hire and vending equipment upon departure.
  • Manage ordering, storage, production, and service of food and beverages, including vending, light equipment, laundry, disposables, and cleaning materials. Maintain wastage records, stock controls, and conduct weekly and monthly stock takes. Control costs and GP, input new products, and manage GP and sales sheets to achieve targets.

We seek dynamic and engaging leaders with at least 18 months of hospitality operations experience. Candidates should have supervisory and team leadership skills, with the ability to manage multi-use F&B operations.
