Job summary

Grazing’s Catering Supervisor role within Compass Group UK&I is to lead on-site hospitality for meeting rooms, events and client functions, delivering first-class service and guiding the team.

You will manage orders, calendars and stock via internal systems, while upholding high food hygiene and safety standards and building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year's experience in hospitality or contract catering, ideally in a supervisory or team leader role.
  • Outstanding customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, email systems, and hospitality management software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Positive attitude with a proactive, "can-do" approach.
  • Confident working independently while supporting and motivating a team.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a first-class hospitality service for meeting rooms, events, and client functions.
  • Act as the first point of contact for Executive Assistants and key stakeholders regarding hospitality enquiries, bookings, and quotations.
  • Manage the hospitality inbox and meeting room calendar.
  • Coordinate hospitality orders through internal booking systems, email, and telephone.
  • Support the Catering Manager with the day-to-day operation, stepping in to lead in their absence.
  • Organise and supervise drinks receptions, corporate events, and hospitality functions from setup through to breakdown.
  • Ensure meeting rooms are prepared to client specifications and maintained to exceptional standards.
  • Monitor and replenish complimentary tea, coffee, snacks, and hospitality supplies.
  • Place hospitality and supplier orders, manage stock levels, complete monthly stocktakes, and process invoices.
  • Check deliveries, resolve any issues promptly, and ensure excellent service at all times.
  • Ensure all food is presented to the highest standards and correctly labelled with allergen information.
  • Carry out regular quality checks across hospitality areas and maintain impeccable cleanliness.
  • Support the planning and delivery of themed events and special occasions.
  • Lead daily team briefings and provide guidance and support to Hospitality Assistants and casual team members.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.

We're looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused HospitalitySupervisor to help lead our on-site hospitality service at one of Our lovely clients. Working alongside the Catering Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring our hospitality operation runs seamlessly—from meeting room catering and client events to employee dining and coffee points. You'll lead by example, maintaining the highest standards while building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and your team.


What You'll Be Doing

As Catering Supervisor, you'll:

You'll play a vital role in maintaining a safe working environment by:



  • Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene, allergen, health and safety legislation.

  • Monitoring food storage and service temperatures.

  • Completing cleaning schedules and hygiene records.

  • Maintaining company and client standards at all times.


What We're Looking ForEssential

We're recruiting an experienced Catering Supervisor who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service, and who can confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for Grazing on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.
