ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Partner on our service counters, you'll have the perfect opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and passion for food while feeling proud of how it is ethically sourced and recommend recipes for customers to try. You'll actively bring our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers - to life.

You'll use your enthusiasm and friendliness to build lasting relationships with your customers. You'll make all the difference to their impression of the Waitrose brand and keep them returning by earning their trust and loyalty for a lifetime. All the while, you'll help maximize sales and profit.

Key Responsibilities

1. Take responsibility for your own food counter, ensuring the highest presentation and hygiene standards at all times.
2. Stay on top of stock levels, ensuring the products our customers love are available when needed.
3. Work carefully with open food, following all health & safety protocols and helping to reduce food wastage.
4. Maintain knowledge of new products and understand Waitrose's food values (e.g., animal welfare).
5. Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Effective communication skills to work well with team members and customers.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience in a customer-facing role, especially in catering or hospitality.
• Interest in food and drink trends, with up-to-date knowledge.
• Flexible approach to support the entire branch.

• Pay: £12.40 per hour

• Hours of Work: Part-time, Saturdays and Mondays, between 12:00 and 21:00
