Job description

Hospitality Stock Controller - Principality Stadium

Role Overview - We are seeking a Hospitality Stock Controller responsible for the liquor stock within the Hospitality areas. The successful candidate will manage cellar, bars, and BOH operations for daily conferences and events, including stock ordering, control, stock takes, and rotation.

Key Responsibilities - Operations:

  • Ensure profit protection on stock and maintain organized, well-managed areas.
  • Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of bars, cellar, and BOH areas.
  • Manage deliveries, stock shortfalls, and lead the cellar team for event setup.
  • Brief event bar managers, train team members, and ensure adherence to instructions.
  • Order stock for all events, monitor product quality, and maintain beer lines and displays.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the sales team for C&E events.
  • Set up bars prior to events, ensuring they are stocked and clean.

Financial Management -

  • Drive liquor GP% through accurate stock taking and reduce wastage.
  • Record and monitor stock movements, deliveries, consumption, and wastage.
  • Use data to forecast demand and order accordingly.
  • Maintain records of pricing and purchasing, and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.

People Management -

  • Build and train a core casual team, ensuring product knowledge and a can-do attitude.

Health & Safety -

  • Comply with all health, safety, and food safety regulations.
  • Complete audit checks and report incidents.
  • Ensure food handlers are trained and signed off on safety procedures.

Licensing & Other -

  • Brief staff on licensing requirements and ensure training is completed.
  • Adhere to media and social media policies and perform any additional tasks as assigned.

Person Specifications - Stock control experience, cellar training preferred, strong interpersonal skills, basic Food & H&S training, COSHH, personal and forklift licenses desirable, high IT proficiency, excellent communication, motivational, team player, organized, and customer-focused.
