We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, inclusive, and collaborative Hospitality Sous Chef to join our team and lead, together with the Head Chef, a team of 6 within a brand new space in Shoreditch. The ideal candidate must possess extensive expertise in the hospitality department, with a creative flair for designing exceptional buffet lunches, canapés, and fine dining experiences that meet the highest standards.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Hospitality Sous Chef to advance their culinary career and be part of a business that is OBSESSED with food and developing talent.

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the head chef, ensuring food safety standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Station Management: Oversee the production of all dishes assigned to your station and maintain your designated area with supplies, ensuring cleanliness in line with policies and procedures.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards for all dishes, considering presentation and taste at all times.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate positively and effectively with all team members and support colleagues where necessary. Coach junior chefs to support their development.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the head chef to develop and taste new recipes, providing suggestions for improvement or innovation.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the kitchen clean and organized, ensuring equipment is in good working order.

Requirements include proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role, knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines, strong understanding of food safety practices, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
