Job summary

The Ivy Collection is seeking a reliable Restaurant/Kitchen Porter to support both back and front of house operations. This role focuses on keeping the kitchen clean, washing dishes, and helping with basic food prep in a fast-paced environment.

No prior experience is required, but kitchen experience is preferred. The position offers an hourly wage with Tronc, staff discounts, and a minimum 20 hours per week contract.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; kitchen experience is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good level of Health & Safety knowledge.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies in designated areas.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste in designated waste areas.
• Support kitchen staff by performing basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
• Ensure chemicals and cleaning equipment are continuously stocked, e.g. blue roll & sanitizer.
