Job summary

Lodestone House, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, is recruiting an experienced Hospitality Chef to join the catering team at Bedford School. The role involves planning, preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality food across a varied operation, in collaboration with the on-site leadership team.

We seek a passionate chef with strong Food Safety knowledge, capable of developing menus, supporting hospitality services and driving improvements in food quality and service across all venues.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a hospitality chef in a high-quality catering environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP and allergen controls.
• Ability to lead and supervise kitchen teams and coordinate with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality food to company and client standards.
• Support hospitality services and deliver excellent guest experiences.
• Plan and implement menus and new food concepts.
• Contribute ideas to develop and improve the food offer.
• Maintain stock levels, ordering and waste controls for efficiency.
• Ensure consistent food presentation and quality across operations.
• Uphold high standards of kitchen cleanliness and organisation.
• Support the kitchen team and leadership as required.
