Our stunning care home, Guiseley Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built 72-bed facility located in Guiseley, West Yorkshire, Leeds. The home provides the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care to residents with diverse needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. Reflecting the New Care vision, we invest in the latest technology and offer meaningful daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, undergo comprehensive induction, and receive ongoing training from our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on a staff team that has been employed directly by us for over 3 years, ensuring continuity of care and familiarity for our residents. All staff are paid above the national living wage.

We are seeking to appoint compassionate and caring Care Assistants to join our team. You will deliver quality care to residents in accordance with individual care plans and contribute to the smooth operation of the care home. Full-time contracts are available at an hourly rate of £11.44. Shift times are 19:45-08:00, with alternate weekends off.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver hands-on, person-centered care to residents.
  2. Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.
  3. Model best practices in care delivery.
  4. Assist residents with physical, emotional, and spiritual needs according to care plans.
  5. Maintain accurate daily records of residents.
  6. Work effectively as part of a team and complete delegated tasks efficiently.
  7. Promote and safeguard the welfare of residents and others involved.

Skills and Experience Required:

  1. Experience as a Care Assistant or similar in a care environment is preferred.
  2. Care certificate or equivalent, or willingness to obtain within 12 months.
  3. Knowledge of good care practices for older adults.
  4. Understanding of the 6 principles of care and their application in residential/nursing settings.
  5. Ability to work well in a team.
  6. Self-motivated and confident.
