Kents Hill Park in Milton Keynes is seeking a Hospitality Assistant to join the Food & Beverage team. You will help deliver a high-quality guest experience across restaurant, bar and events, including setting up spaces, serving meals and processing payments.

We value a friendly, proactive individual with a passion for great hospitality, teamwork and delivering excellent guest service in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, Food & Beverage, restaurants, bars, hotels, events or a similar customer-facing environment.
• Friendly, positive and approachable personality with strong communication skills.
• Desire to learn and develop hospitality and F&B skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, professional and attentive service across restaurant, bar and hospitality areas.
• Serve food and beverages during restaurant, bar and event service.
• Support breakfast, lunch and evening service, as well as functions.
• Set up and maintain buffets, coffee stations and function spaces.
• Ensure service areas are clean, presented and stocked.
• Assist the bar operation with display and stock rotation.
• Develop knowledge of food, beverage and menu offerings to advise guests.
• Operate till and process payments accurately.
• Support stock takes, control and recording of sales and wastage.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation during service.

We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused Hospitality Assistant to join our team at Kents Hill Park.

This is a varied hospitality role with a strong focus on Food & Beverage, supporting our restaurant, bar and event operations to make sure every guest receives a warm welcome and great service. From breakfast and lunch service to setting up events, serving drinks and keeping our F&B areas looking their best, you'll be right at the heart of the guest experience.

Hospitality Assistant - The Role

As a Hospitality Assistant, you'll be an important part of our Food & Beverage team, helping to deliver a high-quality experience for guests across Kents Hill Park.

• Deliver friendly, professional and attentive service across our restaurant, bar and hospitality areas.
• Serve food and beverages to guests during restaurant, bar and event service.
• Support breakfast, lunch and evening service, as well as hospitality and event functions.
• Set up and maintain buffets, coffee stations, restaurant areas and function spaces.
• Ensure food and beverage service areas are clean, well presented and fully stocked.
• Support the bar operation, ensuring products are correctly displayed and stock is rotated.
• Develop a good knowledge of our food, beverage and menu offering so you can confidently answer guest questions and make recommendations.
• Operate the till accurately, processing payments and ensuring transactions are correct.
• Support stock takes, stock control and the accurate recording of sales and wastage.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout service.
• Complete opening, closing and clear-down duties in line with venue standards.
• Follow all food safety, allergen, hygiene, health and safety and licensing procedures.
• Build positive relationships with guests and provide a friendly, personal service.
• Work closely with colleagues across the F&B and wider venue teams to ensure smooth service.
• Remain calm and professional during busy periods, adapting to changing priorities and guest requirements.
• Support other areas of the venue when required and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Take pride in delivering great hospitality and use your initiative to help create an excellent guest experience.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who enjoys hospitality, loves working with people and has a genuine interest in food and beverage.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience in hospitality, Food & Beverage, restaurants, bars, hotels, events or a similar customer-facing environment.
• A friendly, positive and approachable personality.
• A genuine passion for great food, drink and customer service.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Confidence interacting with a wide range of customers.
• Good attention to detail, particularly around food, beverage service and presentation.
• The ability to remain calm, organised and professional in a busy environment.
• A reliable and positive approach to work.
• The ability to work as part of a team while also using your own initiative.
• A willingness to learn and develop your hospitality and F&B skills.
• An understanding of food safety, allergens, hygiene and health and safety requirements is desirable.
