Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Hospitality Assessor/Trainer to deliver apprenticeship standards across hospitality sectors. This full-time, field-based role requires experience in both Front and Back of House environments, with a focus on supporting and inspiring learners. Training will be provided for the Level 3 Award in Education and Training.

Job Title: Hospitality Assessor / Trainer (Trainee or Qualified)

Full training and support will be given to candidates to achieve the Level 3 Award in Education and Training.

Location:

Devon – Home/Field based (Must be flexible with travel)

Salary:

£28,600 – £30,600 (Depending on qualifications)

Essential Criteria:
  • Ideally have worked as a Chef – though not essential if you have worked as a General Manager and cross-trained within the kitchen.
  • Must have experience of working within Front of House and Back of House, ideally within a Pub or Restaurant setting (Front of House experience must be at Supervisory level as a minimum within an F&B environment).
  • Full driving licence and use of own vehicle.
  • Must be flexible with travel.
Duties include:
  • Delivering full Apprenticeship Standards in Hospitality up to Level 3, across Back of House and Front of House specialisms.
  • Delivering via a blended learning approach (Remote/online delivery and some face-to-face learning).
  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
  • Support, advise and motivate learners.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
  • Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork, and general administration.
Personal Skills:
  • Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
