Job description

We're recruiting an experienced Hospitality & Events Catering Supervisor who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service, and who can confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for CH&CO on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

As a Hospitality & Events Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly and helping to deliver truly incredible food experiences. Salary: £30,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: 40 hours, Monday-Friday

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Take responsibility for personal development looking for opportunities to expand knowledge of industry trends in food and food service, leadership and management practices.
  2. To keep up to date with all COSHH and HACCP procedures and methods.
  3. Provide effective day to day performance management to all Hospitality staff.
  4. As directed by the GM, provide induction, initial skills and on the job training for all Hospitality staff to ensure the service is delivered in line with client expectations and CH&CO standards.
  5. Understand and interpret the financial control systems relevant to Hospitality and use the information to measure performance and work with the GM to achieve Hospitality financial targets.
  6. Develop a good working relationship with the client at the relevant event/site.
  7. In the absence of the GM/AGM, act as the first point of reference for all client comments and concerns and take any necessary action.
  8. Ensure full briefings are given to all staff regarding events, detailing food and food service standards to ensure that the staff are fully aware of the client requirements and their role in delivery.
  9. To contribute with the team to ensure the service is provided in a professional and timely manner.
