Job summary

Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking general waste porters to provide an effective waste portering service across the hospital, ensuring compliance with all Trust Policies and Procedures.

This part-time role (33.5 hours per week) involves collecting clinical and domestic waste, recyclables, and packaging materials from designated points, transporting to the waste compound, and supporting a Safe, Kind and Effective care ethos daily.

Responsibilities

• To undertake all waste portering tasks.
• To provide a refuse collection service for clinical waste, domestic waste, glass, paper, cardboard and packaging recycling waste trust-wide.
• To collect Yellow/Orange Clinical waste, domestic waste and recyclable waste and transport to the waste compound for compacting.
• To collect cardboard and compact in the recycled cardboard compactor.
• To collect glass and bottles and remove to waste compound for disposal.
• To collect paper/confidential waste and computer waste and maintain confidentiality.
