Responsibilities

• Receive goods from suppliers and unload during deliveries.
• Check goods received and enter data into the stock system; resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain ward top-up stock to support daily ward operations.
• Keep stock data accurate and up to date on the computerised system.
• Pick, pack and distribute stores to wards and departments; lift and transport items.
• Respond to ward/department enquiries and escalate unresolved issues.
• Process ad hoc orders quickly and efficiently.
• Advise on alternatives when stock is short to maintain ward services.
• Provide a comprehensive stores service to George Eliot Hospital sites.
