Job summary

Belmont Recruitment is seeking a hospital receptionist to join Spire Southampton Hospital on an initial 4 week temporary contract. This full-time role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at the hospital in Southampton.

You will greet patients and visitors, check them in/out, schedule and manage appointments, answer calls, and direct people to the right departments. DBS check is essential for this healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a receptionist in healthcare.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming patients, visitors, and guests upon arrival
• Checking patients in and out (including collecting/verifying personal details, ID, and insurance information)
• Scheduling, confirming, rescheduling, and cancelling appointments
• Answering multi-line phones, taking messages, screening calls, and directing them to the right department or staff
• Directing patients and visitors to the appropriate departments, clinics, or waiting areas
• Assisting patients with completing forms and paperwork (registration, consent, medical history, etc.)
