Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking a general porter to support wards and departments with portering duties at the Raigmore site in Inverness. You will work as part of a team or on your own initiative, delivering a safe, efficient service and maintaining high standards of patient care.

A driving licence is essential for this post as you will drive a van up to 3.5 tonnes. You must obtain PVG Scheme membership and complete the mandatory induction for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
• Good communication skills are essential.
• Able to respond constructively to unpredictable situations and cope under pressure.
• Driving licence is essential; will drive a van up to 3.5 tonnes.
• PVG Scheme membership/record is required before starting.
• Must comply with Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland.
• NHS Highland cannot provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
