Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Patient Porter to join the team at one of our fantastic clients.This is an essential frontline position, supporting the smooth and safe operation of hospital services by assisting in the movement of patients, equipment, and supplies across various departments.

The role offers a structured shift pattern and the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment where professionalism, care, and teamwork are key.

Location:Norwich NR4
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Shift Pattern:37.5 hours per week (flexible)

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients between wards, departments, and other hospital areas
  • Assist in the movement of medical equipment, supplies, and other essential items
  • Provide courteous and compassionate support to patients, visitors, and clinical staff
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and confidentiality at all times
  • Respond promptly and professionally to portering requests
Candidate Requirements
  • Good command of spoken English for effective communication and safety
  • A caring, empathetic approach with a focus on patient welfare
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy hospital setting
  • Flexibility to work the designated shift pattern
  • Previous experience in a hospital or similar environment is advantageous but not essential – full training will be provided
