Job summary

The Cromwell Hospital in West London, part of Bupa, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to join a dedicated team. The role involves dispensing, checking, patient counselling and stock management across hospital dispensaries, with supervision from Pharmacists and Senior Pharmacy Technicians.

You will rotate across locations to maintain high-quality service, adhere to CQC, Home Office, GPh.C and MHRA standards, and work the 37.5-hour week with Saturday coverage as required.

Qualifications

• GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
• NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services or BTEC Pharmaceutical Sciences is required.
• Experience in a hospital pharmacy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and check medicines in line with hospital procedures.
• Counsel patients and provide pharmacy advice.
• Manage stock and assist training of staff.
• Ensure dispensary duties conform to legislation and SOPs.
• Coordinate with ward managers to maintain stock levels.
• Ensure Pyxis system is functioning on designated wards.
• Maintain prescription documentation in accordance with the law.
• Collaborate under supervision of Pharmacist and Senior Pharmacy Technician.
