Job summary

East Cheshire NHS Trust is recruiting Pharmacy Technicians to join the hospital pharmacy team. The role offers a development path from Band 4 to Band 5 with comprehensive in-house training and support to progress, in a patient‑focused NHS setting at Macclesfield.

We welcome both newly qualified technicians and experienced staff. Full-time or part-time hours are available, with 37.5 hours per week and shifts including late, weekend, and bank holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Pharmacy Technician with BTEC Level 3 Diploma and GPhC registration.
• Accuracy checking qualification (or equivalent) desirable.
• Training and progression to Band 5 will be provided as part of programme.

Responsibilities

• Rotate between dispensary and ward-based services.
• Supply medication to patients.
• Complete medicines reconciliation for newly admitted patients.
• Provide medicines management support to wards.
• Counselling and advice on medications to patients.
