Job summary

Spire Nottingham Hospital is seeking an experienced Hospital Pharmacist to lead and develop the pharmacy service, with a focus on clinical excellence and governance within a leading private hospital. The role offers senior clinical leadership and a pathway to further develop management responsibilities.

You will work closely with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to support complex patient pathways, drive service improvements, and deliver outstanding patient care while promoting

Qualifications

• Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• A Pharmacy degree (MPharm, BSc or equivalent).
• Significant experience working within a hospital pharmacy environment.
• Strong clinical knowledge and experience supporting complex patient pathways.
• Experience building effective working relationships with consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Previous leadership, supervisory or team development experience.
• The ability to influence clinical practice and promote evidence-based decision making.
• A commitment to service improvement, patient safety and clinical excellence.
• Collaborative leader who is passionate about developing people, improving services and delivering high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the pharmacy team, fostering clinical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Provide expert advice to consultants, clinicians and patients on safe and effective use of medicines.
• Ensure safe management of medicines across the hospital, maintaining governance and regulatory standards.
• Work with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
• Drive service development initiatives to enhance clinical quality and patient outcomes.
• Provide visible clinical leadership to support the hospital's broader success.
