Job Description:

Hunter Gatherer AHP has a Band 7/8a locum Mental Health Pharmacist opportunity at a hospital service in the Essex area. This role is for Locum Band 7/8a Pharmacists to join the mental health ward team from mid-June (immediate start!).

Please note: Previous hospital ward experience is required, but not necessarily within the mental health sector.

The role involves covering various mental health wards, conducting clinical screening of prescriptions, and dispensing. It is primarily ward-based with minimal dispensary duties.

The working hours are 9 am - 5:30 pm (with a 1-hour lunch) from Monday to Friday, with no on-call or weekend work. Part-time options (3-4 days per week) may be considered for suitable applicants.

Applicants must have prior ward-based hospital pharmacy experience, not necessarily in mental health. If you are a pharmacist with ward experience and interested in gaining mental health experience, this opportunity is suitable for you.

This is an immediate start role, with a duration of 6 months, starting from June. The hospital is a medium-sized NHS hospital located in Essex.
