Job summary

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Palliative Care Specialist Nurse to strengthen the nursing contribution within the hospital's Specialist Palliative Care Team. You will manage a caseload, provide expert clinical leadership, and work with MDT colleagues to develop and evaluate care pathways across inpatient and community settings.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with NMC registration.
• Masters level learning or willingness to pursue.
• Post-basic qualification in palliative care.
• Mentors & assessors qualification or equivalent.
• Evidence of leadership experience in palliative care.
• Experience in research, audit and improving care.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate the Specialist Palliative Care Service.
• Provide expert nursing care with autonomous practice.
• Lead clinical governance and service improvement initiatives.
• Support MDT collaboration and patient advocacy.
• Deliver education and clinical supervision within the team.
