Salary: Up to £63,250 per annum depending on experience

Bonus: Up to 10% stakeholders bonus

Hours: 35 Hours per week

Our BRAND NEW State of the art purpose-built building is a new development on the Terry's Chocolate site next to York Racecourse. Brainkind Neurological Centre York is spread over two floors, with spacious accommodation for up to 40 people and four home environment assessment and rehabilitation flats, enabling support throughout the rehabilitation journey. Located 10 minutes from the city centre, it provides access to community facilities, vocational opportunities, and excellent transport links.

The Role

Main responsibilities include:

  • Managing all aspects of the Hospital to ensure high-quality diagnosis-specific care and treatment tailored to individuals' needs.
  • Leading and managing a multidisciplinary team aligned with the Brainkind Strategic Plan and individual needs.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and legislation.
  • Marketing the Hospital to potential commissioners and referrers to create new business opportunities.
  • Managing change within the service to meet new business demands.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Providing professional leadership and hands-on management support.
  • Managing the senior management team and clinicians, ensuring performance standards are met.
  • Overseeing budgets, including capital and revenue.
  • Handling recruitment, employment, and working practices, including induction and training.
  • Participating in management groups and handling additional responsibilities such as investigations and disciplinary hearings.
  • Developing and implementing a business growth plan.
  • Representing Brainkind at conferences and marketing events.
  • Managing on-call systems and out-of-hours support.
  • Ensuring individuals receive appropriate assessments, support, and reviews.
  • Managing financial systems including those for the people supported.
  • Meeting health, welfare, and safeguarding needs in line with legislation.
  • Leading review processes and facilitating involvement of those supported.
About You
  • Experience as a Registered Manager and managing a clinical team. A clinical qualification or nurse PIN is desirable but not essential.
  • Completed QCF (NVQ) Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory requirements and legislation.
  • Experience in high-quality residential services and working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage staff, budgets, and prioritize workloads.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work unsociable hours and travel as required.
