Job summary

Romans Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join a major hospital fit-out project in North-West London NW3. You will lead design coordination and manage technical submissions, working closely with consultants and site teams.

The role offers a competitive day rate and a contract length of 8 weeks with potential extension on successful delivery; experience in healthcare projects and HTM standards would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Manager within M&E, building services, fit-out or main contracting sectors.
• Strong experience coordinating technical submissions and consultant design teams.
• Experience delivering healthcare, hospital, or large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the complete design process for Mechanical and Electrical fit-out works.
• Lead design review meetings with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Prepare, review and manage technical submissions and equipment datasheets.
• Coordinate design activities between M&E disciplines and other trades.
• Support project delivery, procurement programmes and handover documentation.
