Job Description:

Our Charity has an exciting opportunity for a Hospital Liaison Officer to join our growing team on a part time basis.

You will be working closely with our Operations Director and the Founder to build on the Charity’s working relationships with multiple Hospitals, Prosthetic Centres and Rehabilitation Clinics across England & Wales.

  • You will be responsible for developing the existing & new networks of medical professionals (Consultants, Surgeons, Nurses, Psychologists, Physiotherapists) working in the specialist field of amputation in order to raise the charity's profile and help the charity’s goal of reaching as many people preparing for or managing life as an amputee as possible.
  • This role would suit someone who enjoys connecting with people and thrives on building professional relationships intended to help them with their day-to-day challenges. You will be a highly organised individual and very comfortable working independently and in a remote environment. If you are a motivated and self-driven person who enjoys working within a project focussed environment, then this could be the role for you.
  • Whilst some medical experience would be beneficial, it’s not essential and experience of customer / client services or inbound / outbound sales would be highly relevant. Communication is key to the successful execution of this role as are good technical & IT skills in either a Microsoft or Google environment.
  • Charity sector experience is not essential but an understanding of and desire to work in a nonprofit organisation will be key.

We’re a small but growing Charity and most importantly, the work we do to support amputees and their family / friends / carers is really critical. We have a tight knit community of staff & volunteers all of whom are exceptionally driven to help people when they need it most.
