Job summary

Compass Group PLC via Medirest is seeking Domestic Assistants to support infection control and hospital cleaning. You will clean wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, and public areas, using equipment safely and following Health & Safety guidelines.

No prior experience is required; you should be willing to learn, take pride in your work, and be prepared to adapt to patient care needs. A Disclosure & Barring Service check is required and costs are covered by the employer.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required as a Domestic Assistant.
• Willingness to learn and go the extra mile for patients.

Responsibilities

• High and low dusting, mopping, wiping and scrubbing surfaces.
• Cleaning of wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected and public areas.
• Ensure rubbish bins are maintained and removed when full.
• Maintain high hospital standards by keeping areas clean, presentable and safe for visitors.
• Use equipment in accordance with the role following all Health & Safety guidelines.
• Passionate about patient care and able to communicate with patients, visitors and healthcare staff.
• Able to work under pressure, individually and as part of a team with a flexible approach.
