Belmont Recruitment is currently seeking a Hospital Housing Specialist Support Worker / Assistant Band 4 to join the Acute Mental Health Service (AMHS) based in Hammersmith & Fulham, Greater London. The role is Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, with potential flexibility for part-time applicants. This position is initially on an ongoing locum basis, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent.
We are looking for a housing specialist with excellent interpersonal skills to assess candidates for housing and assist clients in securing affordable, permanent housing in both private and social sectors. Responsibilities include liaising with community organizations, government agencies, and property owners to source housing options and negotiate rental terms that enable clients to rent sustainably. The ideal candidate should have good listening skills, patience, and be an effective mediator. They should also possess extensive knowledge of the property market, social services, and legal restrictions related to eviction notices, housing conditions, and socioeconomic factors affecting housing options.
The pay rate for this locum role ranges from £11.91 to £15.91 per hour, depending on experience, with negotiations possible for highly experienced candidates.
