Job summary

Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital is seeking a friendly Host / Catering Assistant to join the Catering Team. The role involves delivering meals to patients, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service in a private hospital setting.

Ideal candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a flexible approach to working 30 hours per week across shifts from 6:00am to 9:00pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, hospitality or healthcare is desirable but not essential.
• Basic food hygiene knowledge would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and refreshments to patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Assist with food preparation and presentation in line with food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout catering areas.
• Support the smooth running of the hospital restaurant and patient dining services.
• Ensure excellent customer service is provided to patients, visitors and colleagues.
• Follow all health and safety, food hygiene and infection prevention procedures.
