Job summary

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) invites applications for a Maintenance Assistant based at Lincoln Hospital. You will join the Estates maintenance team to undertake reactive and planned maintenance across the site, in a safe and cost effective manner.

Duties include repairs to ventilation and plumbing, drainage, building fabric, grounds maintenance, window repairs and assisting housekeeping as needed.

Responsibilities

• General reactive and planned maintenance both internally and external to the site
• Passenger Lift Entrapment release
• Basic Repairs and Maintenance of Ventilation systems
• Basic plumbing repairs and maintenance
• Unblocking foul water and surface water drainage systems
• Grounds & Gardens maintenance including litter picking, snow clearing, gritting, grass and hedge cutting, tree maintenance, road sweeping, emptying bins, signage repairs, line marking and painting
• General building fabric maintenance such as basic painting, decorating, window repairs, flooring and joinery repairs
• Any other activity deemed appropriate for skill and competency level
• Assisting Housekeeping teams undertake their duties such as removing vent grills to allow suitable cleaning etc
• General Maintenance of Beds and Wheelchairs
