Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a dedicated domestic services operative to provide cleaning for patients, staff and visitors. You will work to established standards and COSHH guidelines, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment.

The role offers two contract types: fixed-term for 12 months or permanent, with shifts either 6am–3pm or 3pm–10pm. Training and support will be provided to new staff during induction.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning standards and related procedures.
• Working knowledge of Health & Safety including risk assessment of tasks.
• Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to carry out tasks effectively in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a range of cleaning tasks using machinery, equipment and cleaning appliances.
• Ensure all cleaning is performed to required standards and report access issues.
• Use cleaning materials in line with COSHH guidelines and safety responsibilities.
• Maintain safety and consideration for patients, staff and visitors at all times.
