Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is inviting applications for Domestic Assistants in the Abergele Hospital area. The role involves maintaining environmental cleanliness, following set methods and schedules, and working as part of the Domestic Services team.

Training and uniform will be provided to successful applicants. Experience in cleaning is welcomed but not essential; full training will be given.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards of cleanliness of floors, furniture and fittings and remove marks from walls, partitions and doors to set methods and frequencies.
• Operate cleaning equipment, including electrical ones, to achieve the required cleanliness standards.
• Handle refuse for disposal and replenish paper hand towels, toilet tissue, soap and moisturiser as needed.
• Monitor cleaning materials and stock levels and request supplies when needed.
• Organise day-to-day workload within scheduling guidelines to complete tasks to standard.
• Complete documentation recording full cleans.
• Demonstrate understanding of cleaning methods and frequencies.
• Communicate with supervisors, patients, visitors and staff to achieve the required cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with policies and good practices.
