Compass Associates is partnering with a leading private acute healthcare provider to appoint a Hospital Director for their Guildford site. This is a senior leadership role with commercial accountability and a focus on governance and patient experience.

You will own P&L, budget and consultant recruitment; drive self-pay and PMI performance in a high-demand catchment; set culture and recruit a senior leadership team. The role offers up to £100,000 base plus bonus, car allowance and full benefits.

This is a site leadership role for someone who wants the commercial reins, not just the operational ones.

The remit:

• Full accountability for P&L, budget and commercial growth
• Owning the consultant proposition — recruitment, engagement and retention
• Driving self-pay and PMI performance in an affluent, high-demand catchment
• Maintaining outstanding standards of clinical governance, CQC compliance and patient experience
• Setting the culture and building a senior leadership team people want to stay in

You'll likely be:

• An experienced Hospital Director, Deputy Hospital Director or senior operational leader from private acute or independent healthcare
• Commercially sharp, with a track record of growing revenue and market share
• Comfortable and credible in front of consultants, clinicians and boards alike
• A Registered Manager, or ready to become one
