This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a high-performing team at Ty Glyn Ebwy, an established mental health service. As the Hospital Director, you will have overall responsibility for clinical and administrative operations, ensuring excellent care delivery, quality, and financial targets are met. Your strong leadership, management experience, and clinical background in mental health services will be essential to drive the service forward and capitalize on commercial opportunities.

Main duties of the job

As the Hospital Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing the full clinical and administrative teams at Ty Glyn Ebwy. Your key responsibilities will include facilitating the development of quality healthcare services, ensuring quality and financial targets are met, leading the senior management team, promoting the hospital's reputation for specialist care, and fulfilling the role of Registered Manager. You will need an excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector, a clinical background in mental health services, strong performance and delivery focus, and a credible, inclusive, and supportive management style.

You will be leading and managing full clinical and administrative teams, ensuring excellent care is delivered and maintained, and ensuring quality and financial targets are met.

As the Hospital Director atTy Glyn Ebwy, you will have overall leadership and management responsibility of the service, lead themultidisciplinary team, and be responsible for operational performance whilst continuing to develop commercial opportunities with purchasers and referrers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating the development of quality healthcare services, ensuring that they respond to the changing needs of purchasers and patients, and also reflect market trends and evidence-based practice.
• Ensuring both quality and financial targets are met,
• Leading the senior management team on site, developing local strategy of the service, ensuring adherence to the service’s objectives, quality improvement and business plans.
• Promoting and enhancing the hospital’s reputation for specialist care and service
• Fulfilling the role of Registered Manager as per HIW expectations
• Engagement with Provider Collaboratives

To be successful as Hospital Director, you will:

• Have an excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector
• A clinical background in and understanding of mental health services
• An excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector (essential).
• An emphasis on performance and delivery in order to support successful service delivery and development, budget control, business development and revenue generation.
• A credible, inclusive and supportive management style balanced with strong leadership and sound underpinning knowledge to provide direction and implement change.
• Knowledge of clinical and non-clinical operational activities within a health sectororganisation.

Ty Glyn Ebwy is embarking on an exciting journey to expand services to women in a specialist eating disorder setting, focusing on treating eating disorders, alongside addressing conditions like depression, self-harm, physical health concerns, and psychological distress including trauma. Working hours will be Monday to Friday 9-5 with some flexibility required to attend site is required outside of these hours.

• You will need an excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector, a clinical background in and understanding of mental health services, an emphasis on performance and delivery, a credible and inclusive management style, and knowledge of clinical and non-clinical operational activities within a healthcare organization. Working knowledge of the NHS and Independent Healthcare sectors is also required.
