Job Title: Hospital Director – Women’s Mental Health Service

About the Hospital: The hospital in Leicester is dedicated to providing a holistic and comprehensive service for women aged between 18 and 65 with complex mental health needs. Specializing in caring for individuals with conditions such as personality disorders, serious and enduring mental illness, co-morbidity, and a history of complex trauma, the hospital’s mission is to deliver compassionate, person-centered care that promotes recovery, empowerment, and well-being.

Position Overview: The hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Hospital Director to lead its Women’s Mental Health Service in Leicester. The Hospital Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hospital’s operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients, fostering a supportive environment for staff, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Providing visionary leadership and direction to the Women’s Mental Health Service, the Hospital Director will align strategies and objectives with the hospital’s mission and values. They will develop and implement plans to enhance the quality of care, service delivery, and patient outcomes.
  • Operational Management: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hospital, including clinical services, administrative functions, and facility management, the Hospital Director will ensure efficient resource allocation, adherence to budgetary constraints, and optimization of operational processes.
  • Clinical Governance: Maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, quality benchmarks, and best practices in mental health care, the Hospital Director will monitor clinical outcomes, conduct regular audits and reviews, and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Staff Recruitment and Development: Recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating clinical and non-clinical staff members, the Hospital Director will foster a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and continuous learning. They will provide leadership and support to staff to promote their development and well-being.
  • Patient Care: Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex mental health needs, the Hospital Director will ensure that care is delivered in a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and recovery-oriented manner, promoting empowerment and self-determination.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining positive relationships with patients, families, caregivers, community organizations, and regulatory bodies, the Hospital Director will act as a liaison between the hospital and external stakeholders to promote collaboration, advocacy, and awareness of women’s mental health issues.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks related to patient safety, confidentiality, and clinical outcomes, the Hospital Director will develop and implement protocols for managing emergencies, incidents, and complaints effectively, ensuring a proactive approach to risk prevention and mitigation.

Qualifications and Experience:
