Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Hospital Cleaning Operative (non-patient) to deliver high-cleanliness standards at our Newcastle site. This part-time role is 25 hours per week, offering £16.52 per hour and adherence to SLA cleaning schedules.

You will be responsible for maintaining equipment, following safety procedures, and working both in a team and independently to provide excellent service, with a focus on reliability and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and read basic English.
• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.
• Open, honest, self-driven, and determined attitude.
• Reliable and hardworking with a professional demeanour.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained, and in safe working order
• Meet all agreed SLAs and follow cleaning schedules
• Build knowledge of the designated cleaning area and understand cleaning equipment and chemicals used
• Follow Health and Safety requirements and complete all required training
• Work effectively within a team and independently, delivering excellent customer service
