Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a part-time Cleaner – Healthcare at Newton Community Hospital to deliver high cleaning standards in a healthcare setting. You will follow cleaning schedules, work within SLA expectations, and contribute to safe, hygienic environments for patients and staff.

The role offers 10 hours per week on a two-week rotating shift (3:00pm - 5:00pm) with a permanent contract. Training is provided, and reliability and teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable, especially in healthcare (training provided).
• Ability to work to a schedule and use own initiative.
• Full working knowledge of cleaning equipment, materials, and approved chemicals (or willingness to learn).
• Reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude.
• Strong team player with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine, planned, and periodic cleaning to a high standard in a healthcare environment.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is clean, well maintained, and safe to use.
• Follow all Health & Safety and Mitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental procedures.
• Build positive relationships with customers and deliver excellent service.
• Work independently and as part of a team, always striving to exceed expectations.

We're looking for a Cleaner – Healthcare who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules.

Contract: Permanent
Type: Part time
Hours: 10 Hours per week
Shift Pattern: 10 hours per week on a 2-week rotational shift pattern (3:00pm - 5:00pm). Week A: Mon-Fri; Week B: Mon-Wed, Sat & Sun.
Pay: £12.71
