Responsibilities

• Prepare food to the required standards, taking account of patients’ dietary requirements.
• Deliver meals to hospital wards.
• Take patients’ menu orders accurately and professionally.
• Collect and wash crockery, cutlery and service utensils.
• Clean catering equipment using the appropriate materials and methods.
• Use industrial catering equipment safely.
• Decant, label and store food items correctly.
• Record food temperatures and any corrective actions in line with company procedures.
• Rotate stock to maintain quality and minimise waste.
• Support retail catering colleagues when required.
• Complete mandatory training relevant to your role.
• Assist with other reasonable duties in response to the needs of the service.
