Job summary

Blackpool Council seeks an experienced Team Manager to lead a multidisciplinary Adult Social Care team delivering statutory functions in hospital settings. You will drive discharge planning, safeguarding, and person‑centred interventions while ensuring performance, workforce management and quality assurance.

With SWE registration and a track record of leadership in adult social care, you will develop strong NHS and partner relationships and maintain a proactive approach to risk and service

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Experience leading and managing Adult Social Care teams.
• Strong knowledge of Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and Safeguarding.
• Effective leader with excellent communication and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to motivate, support and develop staff to deliver high‑quality services.
• Experience in partnership working with health and social care colleagues.
• Satisfactory DBS check, references and Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership and oversight of a multidisciplinary team delivering statutory Adult Social Care functions in hospital settings.
• Support staff to achieve positive resident outcomes, including discharge planning and safeguarding.
• Ensure service performance, workforce management, quality assurance, supervision and risk management.
• Develop strong relationships with NHS and partner organisations.
