Hunter Gatherer AHP has two exciting locum opportunities based with an NHS hospital service in South London (please inquire for exact locations). We are seeking several Locum ACT Band 4/5 Pharmacy Technicians (community experienced applicants welcome!) to join the inpatient dispensary team from July onwards, on ongoing contracts of 3-6 months. The ACT qualification is required for this role.
Previous hospital experience is desirable but not essential; community experienced Pharmacy Technicians are also encouraged to apply as training will be provided. Free on-site parking is available. This role offers a great opportunity for career progression, with training provided across various dispensary tasks tailored to your skill set. Hospital-experienced candidates can start immediately, while others will be trained to cover inpatient wards and dispensary duties.
The responsibilities include accuracy checking in the hospital dispensary, assisting with dispensing, and potentially undertaking some MMT ward-based work as you progress.
The working hours are either 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm (30-minute lunch) Monday to Friday, with no on-call or weekend work required. Part-time options (3-4 days/week) may be considered for suitable candidates.
Applicants must have pharmacy experience from either community or hospital sectors, and be qualified ACT. Hospital experience is not mandatory, providing an opportunity for community pharmacy technicians to transition into hospital pharmacy.
The roles are available immediately (starting July 2024) and are contract-based for up to 6 months, with full-time or part-time hours.
