Hunter Gatherer AHP has two very exciting locum opportunities based with an NHS-run hospital service, located in North London (please enquire for exact locations). We are seeking several Locum ACT Band 4/5 Pharmacy Technicians (community experienced applicants are welcome!) to join the inpatient dispensary team from June/July onwards, on ongoing contracts up to 6 months. The ACT qualification is required for this role.
NOTE: Previous hospital experience is desirable but not mandatory; community experienced Pharmacy Technicians are also encouraged to apply as training will be provided. Free parking is available on site. This role offers excellent career progression opportunities, with training provided across various dispensary aspects based on your skill set. Hospital-experienced candidates can start immediately, while others will be trained to cover inpatient wards and dispensary duties.
The main responsibilities include accuracy checking in the hospital dispensary, assisting with dispensing, and potentially undertaking some ward-based MMT work depending on your progress.
The working hours are either 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm (with a 30-minute lunch break), Monday to Friday, with no on-call or weekend work required. Part-time options (3-4 days per week) may be considered for suitable candidates.
Applicants must have pharmacy experience from either community or hospital sectors and be qualified ACTs. Hospital experience is not mandatory, providing an opportunity for community pharmacy technicians to transition into hospital roles.
These roles are available immediately (June/July 2024) and are contract positions lasting up to 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
