Job summary

Saint Michael's Hospice in Thirsk is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our brand new in-patient unit as part of our expanding care services. The role requires a registered nursing qualification, 2+ years PQE, and current NMC registration with validation, plus a passion for palliative and end-of-life care.

You will work in a supportive, collaborative environment with a focus on compassionate, patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an NMC registration and valid nursing qualification.
• 2+ years post-qualification experience.
• Current practice assessor qualification or willingness to work towards.
• Excellent communication and compassionate approach to end-of-life care.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver patient-centred care in a cost-effective manner.
• Act as shift coordinator and oversee high-quality team nursing care.
• Be the key worker for a designated caseload within a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to governance and quality.
