Education/ qualifications

Essential criteria:

• Registered Nurse
• Relevant degree
• Master’s level qualification in non-medical prescribing & Advanced assessment skills
• Recognised post registration qualification in cancer nursing
• Advanced communication skills training

Desirable criteria:

• Masters in advanced practice or working towards

Knowledge and experience

Essential criteria:

• Experience as Cancer CNS role at Band 7 or above in Acute Oncology
• Staff / team management
• Knowledge of Cancer Waiting Time initiatives and their implications for care pathways
• Knowledge of Cancer Care pathways
