St Barnabas House, part of Southern Hospice Group, is seeking a dedicated nurse to provide high‑quality specialist palliative care on the inpatient unit. You will work with a multi‑disciplinary team, act as a Key Worker and coordinate care from admission to discharge, ensuring safe medication administration in line with NMC code and organisational policies.

The role involves a rotational pattern with long day and night shifts to provide 24/7 in-patient cover.

Qualifications

• Qualified nurse registered with the NMC.
• Experience working in palliative care is advantageous.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and policies.

Responsabilités

• Act as a Key Worker coordinating care from admission to discharge.
• Ensure safe administration of medications per NMC code and policies.
• Assess needs of patients and relatives and refer to appropriate professionals.
• Communicate effectively with patients, carers and the team.
• Support infection control, wound care or diabetes as a clinical lead when appropriate.
