A local healthcare trust is seeking a Hospice Clinical Service Lead in Salisbury to oversee the Specialist Palliative Care Service. Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Specialist Palliative Care (SPC) Clinician to bring their extensive experience and knowledge to this senior role as Hospice Clinical Service Lead for the Salisbury Specialist Palliative Care Service (SPCS). This post will be fully funded by Salisbury Hospice Charity and is currently managed within the Medicine Division at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a new post to provide senior leadership within the service to oversee local service provision during a time of transformational change for community services, with a new Community Service provider (HCRG). To represent the service locally, regionally and nationally, working alongside the executive teams of Dorothy House Hospice and Prospect Hospice, to make sure that Salisbury's SPCS is able to recognise the dynamic and evolving needs of the community and respond to emerging opportunities and challenges.
Holding joint accountability with the Clinical Lead for SPC, you will work collaboratively alongside the CEO's and Directors of Patient Services at Dorothy House Hospice and Prospect Hospice, Commissioners, BSW oversight group members and Divisional Directors of Nursing to develop strategic palliative and end of life care services across BSW, ensuring a resilient, equitable provision of services.
Main duties of the jobTo lead the Salisbury Specialist Palliative Care Service (SSPCS), to transform the service in line with local, regional and national needs.
Work alongside the CEOs and Directors of Patient Services at Dorothy House Hospice and Prospect Hospice to develop palliative and end of life care across BSW through collaboration and to ensure equity of services.
To represent the Salisbury Specialist Palliative Care Service at the Southwest Palliative and End of Life Care Network, being part of the wider regional community responding to National directives
Work closely with the charity to provide a direct link between the clinical service, SFT management and the charity in order for the charity to properly fulfil its fundraising capabilities within our community.
Leadership during a period of transformational change in community services, with a new Community Service provider (HCRG). HCRG aims to deliver a new model of healthcare provision in the community with stronger integration with hospitals, hospices, primary care and voluntary sector organisations.
