Job summary

North Yorkshire Hospice Care is seeking a Hospice and Client Services Administrator on a fixed-term maternity cover basis. Location: Harrogate with hybrid working, supporting clinical and client-facing teams with booking, records management and day-to-day administration.

You will need strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and experience with MS Office 365, handling confidential information with tact and empathy. Training and safeguarding processes are part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills and high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, and databases.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, work under pressure and use own initiative.
  • Experience in administration, customer service and telephone-based roles would be beneficial.

Location: Hybrid / Saint Michaels Hospice, Crimple House,Hornbeam Park Avenue,Harrogate,HG2 8NA
Hours: 37.5 hours over a flexible 7 day rotation
Salary: £27,394.10 per annum

About the role

You’ll provide a high-quality administration service supporting our clinical and client-facing teams. Your role will include appointment booking, referral and discharge processing, managing patient records and databases, monitoring email inboxes and speaking with patients and clients by telephone. You’ll also provide general administrative support, helping our services run smoothly and ensuring patients and clients receive a professional and compassionate experience.

About You

We’re looking for an organised and adaptable administrator with excellent communication skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You’ll be confident using Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel and databases, and comfortable managing confidential and sensitive information. You’ll be able to prioritise your workload, work under pressure and use your own initiative, while communicating with tact and empathy, particularly when supporting people who may be distressed. Experience in administration, customer service and telephone-based roles would be beneficial, along with a genuine interest in supporting the work of North Yorkshire Hospice Care.
