Job description

We are currently looking for a Horticultural Service Technician to support and join the existing team at our North Kyme branch, based in Lincolnshire.

Role Purpose

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment associated with Horticultural machinery that is sold by the company’s sales departments. This role will be mobile and will require travel to customers – a company vehicle will be provided.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge of Gold Course and amenity Machinery (e.g. Ransome, Jacobsen or equivalent) and how it functions is advantageous
  • Knowledge of Domestic or Professional Grass Machinery
  • Repair and maintain equipment for customers associated with Horticultural machinery
  • Diagnose faults and successfully carry out repairs and service work
  • Ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults using the latest software
  • Have the ability to work alone using own initiative and as part of a team
  • Heavy lifting but apply common sense to items that require assistance
  • Good communication skills
  • Competent in the use of computers
  • Excellent customer service skills both face to face and over the telephone
  • Be self-motivated
  • Full driver’s licence

Additional Information

  • Start Date: Immediate, but subject to successful candidates notice period
  • Hours: 39 hours per week – 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch)
